Meet one of our newest members, Heba Azer.
Heba is a General Practitioner, clinician educator, and academic at University of NSW with several years of experience in health professions education teaching GP registrars and medical students. Heba is always passionate about delivering evidence-based teaching informed by educational strategies and learning theories to create engaging and meaningful experiences for future healthcare professionals.
"I have been following ANZAHPE for some time and first learned about this community through my academic network. I was drawn to ANZAHPE’s strong commitment to collaboration, research, and theory-informed practice in health professions education. Joining as a member felt like a natural step toward connecting with like-minded educators who share a passion for excellence.
I hold an Advance HE Fellowship and have completed a university learning and teaching program through UNSW. Currently, I am undertaking postgraduate studies in Clinical Education through Flinders University. These experiences have strengthened my belief that educators must continually develop their skills to support learners effectively.
Being part of ANZAHPE provides me with an opportunity to engage, share, and grow within a vibrant network dedicated to advancing health professions education. I look forward to learning from and contributing to this inspiring community."
