The University of Queensland is a key partner in the CQWB RMP, collaborating with Central Queensland University, Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service, and the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. This position is based within the CQWB RMP, which is designed to support medical education and training across the region. In 2023, the UQ Medical School established eight geographically based Learning Communities, three of which are within the Rural Clinical School (RCS). Two of these, the Central Queensland and Wide Bay Learning Communities, align with the CQWB RMP. These communities provide an academic home for students, academics, clinical teachers, and professional staff, where students are supported to grow as medical professionals throughout the MD program. REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF TRAINING (NORTHERN TERRITORY) - RACGP Preferred NT location, permanent, part-time opportunity (0.6FTE) Our Regional Director of Training leads medical education for the Northern Territory, managing regional and local medical educator teams to ensure effective GP Training delivery. Reporting to one of the National Deputy Directors of Training, they drive regional alignment with RACGP goals, educational quality, and compliance with Department of Health KPIs while supporting workforce planning, cultural education, and supervisor training. Key stakeholders include local teams, registrars, supervisors, rural generalist coordination units, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations. As a Regional Director of Training, you’ll: Lead the regional and local medical educator teams to deliver high-quality GP training and support registrar progression through exams and remediation processes. Drive workforce planning and manage training site capacity to meet regional needs, including developing and supporting Rural Generalist (RG) and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health training pathways.
