ANZAHPE has an agreement with the Australasian Interprofessional Practice and Education Network (AIPPEN) that supports a close relationship between ANZAHPE and AIPPEN.
AIPPEN has provided a virtual meeting place for researchers, scholars and clinicians interested in interprofessional education and collaborative practice for over 10 years.
ANZAHPE has long supported interprofessional education and collaborative team based practice. The relationship between ANZAHPE and AIPPEN provides direct access to a network, and opportunities to access local, Trans-Tasman and international interprofessional education and research developments that aims to benefit members across both groups.
Aligned with the global focus on interprofesssional education (IPE) in health professional education, IPE is a key element of ANZAHPE’s strategic plan.

AIPPEN provides a community of practice for individuals, groups, institutions and organisations across Australia and New Zealand who are committed to researching, delivering, promoting and supporting interprofessional learning, through interprofessional education and practice.
Skilled interprofessional facilitation is key for student learning. We have summarised the main themes in the interprofessional facilitation literature (2010-2021) in an infographic.

The target audience for this infographic is academic staff involved in the facilitation of interprofessional education programs. We now have 58 resources on the ANZAHPE IPE repository.
To access journal articles, tools, reports and curriculum frameworks specifically designed for the Australian and/or New Zealand context, you can visit our IPE Repository.
There have been multiple nationally funded IPE projects in Australia over the past decade. To learn more about any you are not familiar with please visit the Securing an Interprofessional Future website.
On the SIF website, the project tab shows reports on the projects: curriculum renewal in IPE in health, work based assessment for teamwork, a report on a national audit of IPE and a literature review on IPE in health to name but a few.
