Meet one of our newest members, Kamaree Houlis-Berry.
Dr Kamaree Houlis-Berry PhD, MEd Stds (Hon), PGDip Clinical Nursing (Perioperative), RN, BN, MACN, GAICD is the head of School of HE Nursing programs at the Holmesglen Institute.
"My professional career that spans more than 30 years and commenced with the Australian Army where I trained as a Medic and Nursing Officer Medical Troop Commander. I have held leadership positions across a number of complex sectors including professional services, academic and vocational education, healthcare, corporate, public service (emergency services) and defence.
Underpinning my philosophy and values of learning and professional education is my strong conviction of innovative leadership and direction for both learners and staff. I value the importance of continuing professional education, contemporary approach to teaching and learning, curriculum development, program designs, mentorship, currency on educational trends within the nursing profession across a number of specialties and the Knowledge and Learning Capital Economy (KLCE)©
I always look for opportunities that are meaningful, challenging and extend my learning. I am passionate about the nursing profession, fostering intra, inter and multidisciplinary collaboration, driving innovation, ensuring accountability, representing best practice and education for the profession and its clinicians.
I came across ANZAHPE by sheer chance and have been following the organisation to gain a better insight into their activities before I became a member. This membership offers the opportunity to network and work alongside others who like me, are equally committed to making a lasting impact across all healthcare professions."
