Congratulations to James Bonnamy on his ANZAHPE Associate Fellowship

James Bonnamy is a Registered Nurse working as a Research Fellow, Teaching Associate and PhD Candidate in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Monash University, based in Frankston, Victoria. He also holds a position as a Registered Nurse and Hospital Coordinator at Peninsula Health. James is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK) and is now an Associate Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Association for Health Professional Educators.

James' scholarly work focuses on co-design of health professional education and research using participatory action approaches that value lived experience and expertise. His research has covered areas such as consumer and community involvement in health professional education, planetary health in health professional curricula, widening perspectives in simulation-based learning, and surfacing and addressing cognitive bias. James' PhD focuses on health consumer recognition and escalation of acute deterioration in acute hospital settings.
