Meet one of our newest members, Jessica Green.

Jessica is an Emergency Physician at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney with a longstanding interested in medical education, advocacy and wellbeing spanning all aspects of medical training though with a particular interest in the prevocational years. She recently completed a Masters in Clinical Education at Flinders University with her research focusing on medical interns’ attitudes to bedside teaching -  an area she is especially passionate about promoting and protecting. As the current Chair of the NSW Prevocational Training Council at the Health Education and Training Institute (HETI) she has oversight of the education and training of prevocational trainees across the state. Previously the Director of Prevocational Education and Training at St Vincent’s Hospital for 7 years, she was awarded the Geoff Marel prize in 2023 which recognises excellence in the education and support of Junior Medical Officers . She is also a Senior Clinical Lecturer and member of the Critical Care Faculty at UNSW, holds the position of Deputy Chair of NSW’s Trainee Progression Review Panel for ACEM, and is a member of RACMA’s Medical Education Special Interest Group. 

She joined ANZHAPE with the intention of meeting and learning from other healthcare professionals who are passionate about medical education.
