Meet one of our newest members, Rachelle Bonus.

I am a Nurse Educator working for the Training and Education team at Patient Transport Services in New South Wales, Australia. I am currently completing my Master of Health Professional Education, and it was during my studies that I first came across ANZAHPE.

In my role, I work with patient transport officers from diverse backgrounds, as well as nursing staff who provide care on the road. Given the nature of our service, which spans multiple Local Health Districts and regions from Milton Ulladulla in the south to Tweed Heads in the north, there are many opportunities to collaborate with a wide range of healthcare professionals and disciplines.

My passion in nursing has always had a strong educational focus. Over the years, this passion has expanded beyond nursing education into supporting multidisciplinary learning and professional development. I enjoy helping staff build confidence, strengthen their clinical knowledge, and ultimately deliver safe, high-quality care to patients.

I joined ANZAHPE because of my growing interest in health professional education and my desire to connect with others who share a commitment to learning, teaching, and workforce development. I look forward to exploring the benefits of membership, attending future conferences, sharing experiences with fellow educators, and building networks that will support my ongoing growth as a health professional educator.
