Workshop - Writing for Publication

A part of the regular programme at ANZAHPE conferences,  the workshop assists members in developing academic writing skills. In particular it seeks to encourage and upskill early career academics.

The Aims are to:      

• Assist participants in getting their message across in publications, by working on small samples of text

• Provide feedback and advice on an issue related to a particular paper

• Learn about the reviewing and publishing process, using FoHPE as a case example

The workshop will be focused on the needs of the participants. The participants will be required to bring along a piece of their own writing to the workshop; typically a title and an abstract for work that they hope to publish. A mixture of short presentations and small group work in zoom break out groups will be used with expert facilitation by Focus on Health Professional Education Editorial Board members.
