Join A/Prof Gabrielle Brand and some of the contributing creative artists to explore the provocative and stimulating “Ways of Seeing in Healthcare” exhibition.
This unique and interactive panel discussion aims to explore and share how art can be used to promote different ways of knowing and seeing in healthcare.
The session will commence with a brief outline of health humanities, including how art can be used to foster empathy and reflection in ourselves and our students. The panel will share insights from producing their creative art works, including a vision for diversity and inclusivity, to challenge the status quo, to bridge clinical and human experiences, to enrich understandings of everyday clinical practice and connect and build community.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and consider ways in which they can embed creative arts into their own health professions education, research and practice.
The panel members will consist of educators, clinicians, researchers and students. View their biographies here.
This session is open and free to anyone interested. Please register to ensure you receive the Zoom link to attend.
We thank and acknowledge the support by Monash University for the production of the Ways of Seeing exhibition booklet.
